MSP is two terminals with their own ramps. Terminal 1 (Lindbergh) is the big one. Terminal 2 (Humphrey) is smaller and easier. Quick Ride is the short-stay ramp. Parking at the wrong terminal is a shuttle you did not budget.

How MSP parking works

Look at your airline first. Most legacy and Delta mainline traffic is Terminal 1. Spirit, Sun Country, and a few others use Terminal 2. The ramps are named for those buildings. Crossing between them with bags is a hassle.

January at MSP is why the ramps exist. You want a garage, not a surface lot you do not have. Quick Ride is for a short wait — a pickup, a delayed inbound — not for a week in Phoenix.

When Terminal 1 shows Limited, people overflow toward T2 and then cannot walk to their Delta flight. Read the name on the board before you pull in.

Should I park at Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 at MSP?

Park at the terminal printed on your boarding pass. Terminal 1 is Lindbergh (most airlines, including Delta mainline). Terminal 2 is Humphrey. They are not a short walk with bags.

What is the Quick Ride Ramp for?

Short waits and pickups — a legal place to sit when the flight is on the ground. It is the wrong ramp for a four-day trip.

Does MSP parking stay covered in winter?

The terminal ramps are garages. That is the point in January. Do not overflow to the other terminal just because the board looks more open.

What if Terminal 1 is Limited?

Wait for a space in the inbound if you are on a Terminal 1 airline. Parking at Terminal 2 for a Delta flight trades a garage hunt for a terminal transfer.
